Event concept

Role: Creative director
Client: Finnhammars
Brief: Concept for event at National Museum, Stockholm
featuring speaker psykiatriker Anders Hansen.

The challenge was to create an interesting frame around a client event hosted by accountant firm Finnhammars at the Nation Museum in Stockholm, the museum inhabits and displays some of the classic art treasure of Sweden. Key speaker for the evening was psychiatrist and author Anders Hansen and the topic was the effect on the human brain and mental health from usage of Social media.

In the solution we made a version of one of the most well-known paintings in the museum collection, The lady with the veil, a portrait of painter Roslin’s wife, where instead of looking straight at the painter and holding a fan in her hand, she’s holding a selfie stick glancing a side, taking a selfie. It became a sort of meta version of the classic portrait that humored the guests and by this combination we captured the essence of both the speech topic and the location of the event, and the audience got a hint of what was to expect.

Elaborating even more on the meta-portrait theme we also designed the evening programs as masquerade masks on a stick that the guests could hold up when taking selfies or pictures of others.
